Montessori work consists of five shelves from which the children work freely from. These are Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths, Language and Culture. We also do individual work from these shelves which are child size, colourful, inviting and full of fun.

Circle time is a time for us all to sit together as a class and discuss our theme e.g. Life cycle of a butterfly, transport, space – we have a different theme and sound each week. We talk about our new sound (e.g. – a, s, c ) the weather, any news the children might have, read a story and sing a song connected to our theme.

Activity time is where we do arts and crafts in relation to our theme. We also do playdoh, gloop, sand, water play etc at this time.
